Release 1st March 2024.
Who are we? Where do we come from? What have humans made of the planet whose biosphere is a thousand times older than the human species? What are humanity's prospects? Anyone who looks at the Earth from above rediscovers it, and finds answers to some of the big questions about the relationship between humans and nature in the past and present, as well as clues to what the future could look like. Christof Mauch tells stories that impressively bring Bernhard Lang's pictures to life.
Wo kommen wir her?

New Aerial Views Project „BAVARIAN FOREST“, captured a few weeks ago out of a little Plane.
Most of the topics of my Aerial Views project, which I have been following since 2010, deal with the intervention and often also the destruction of our environment by humans.I am honored to have a new space at Fireflies Art Gallery, created by the talented artists team from Spain, showing well curated works of my Aerial Views Project together with a detailed interview:

The city has a characteristic circular layout, interspersed with green spaces, golf courses and water features. The climate in the Valley of the Sun, where the city is located, is pleasantly warm with an average of 312 days of sunshine a year.
The houses consist mainly of one-storied bungalows and are built on level desert ground. There are hardly any stairs and steps and all curbs are flattened - the entire city is almost barrier-free.
All houses are equipped with the latest security technology.

"Housing the largest aircraft and missile facility around the globe, the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson is a trove of aviation history. The Arizona boneyard is responsible for nearly 4,000 vehicles that are maintained, recycled for parts, and stored across miles of the dry, desert landscape. Photographer Bernhard Lang (previously) visited the site recently to document the aircraft, which are organized in neat rows and grouped by model. Containing both rusted and disassembled machines and those in pristine condition, the boneyard is designed for preservation “in order to make (the planes) airworthy again if necessary, a current topic in times of the Ukraine war and the global discussion about deliveries of arms,” Lang says.
