NEW ARRIAL VIEWS PROJECT LONDON

London the capital of the United Kingdom is a leading international financial centre of lending and investment.London has been a major settlement for two millennia, and always a cosmopolitan city, grewing steadily more polyglot and multicultural. The city is quite popular for international tourism, and therefore quite crowded with people. My special interest had been to capture the atmosphere and charisma of the city from an elevated point of view. In particular thesquares and places, which often are linked in our visual memory.See more on https://www.bernhardlang.de/london

New Aerial Views Project: Solar Power Plants in the US

Sustainable Energy Systems - Solar power plants in the US. Renewable energy generation through solar power.
Heliostat mirrors focus sunlight on receivers located on centralized solar power towers. The receivers generate steam to drive specially adapted steam turbines.
Visually interesting to me is the relationship between the technical designs of the power plants and the surrounding desert landscape - which sometimes reminded me on scenes on alien planets out of science fiction movies.
Renewable and sustainable energy production is a step forward to prevent global warming and climate change.

During my speech on 18 May 2018 I will show images of series from my Aerial Views Project which display this transformation of territory in the foodindustry.

New Project: „ABSTRACT FLOWS“

The series of images on which I have worked for the last
several months, is on one hand something completely different compared to my Aerial Views Project. On the other hand it is in a way similar, because also here I was interested in finding interesting structures and shapes, as in my Aerial Photography.

Publication in „GRANTA - The Magazine for new writing“

Image „AV_Fishfarms_003“ of my Fishfarm Series is published in the wonderful literature magazine „GRANTA - The Magazine for new writing“, by Granta Publications, London.
The photo illustrates a short story called „Issue“ of irish author Cormac James. I think the image fits exactly to the special attitude of this modern fiction story.
