NEW PHOTO PROJECT "PAREIDOLIA - MOUNTAIN FACES" 2019 - 2021

"BAVARIAN CHIEF" = Hochkalter Mountain in Bavaria

The images show mountain peaks, that rotated by 90 degrees resemble profiles of human faces.

The term "Pareidolia” describes the ability to recognize a face, a human figure or an animal in abstract forms such as in clouds or mountains.

SLEEPING GREEK WOMAN or Erlakogel Mountain in Austria

The mythical names of these strikingly shaped mountain peaks in the Alps such as "The Sleeping Greek Woman", "Schiller's Head", ... are mostly based on old legends and sagas, that have been handed down from generation to generation.

"MAN WITH TURBAN" or Široka Peč Mountain in Slovenia

During my photo tours through Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Slovenia I discovered also "new" mountain faces, and invented names, such as "The Berchtesgaden Chief", "Golem", "Donald Trump", ...

The image was put together from several image files, so that excellent sharpness and detail reproduction is achieved even in this large format. Recently produced for a german collector.

Aerial photographs of the largest connected chemical area in the world, with a size of around ten square kilometers. Captured out of a helicopter in November 2020, in Germany.

Podcast bei den Löwen

Im wöchentlichen Löwen-Podcast begrüßt diesmal Jan Mauersberger Bernhard Lang. Der Fotograf shooted seit elf Jahren u.a. die 1860-Profis für die Autogrammkarten. Seit mittlerweile elf Jahren ist er ein fester Bestandteil der Marketing-Vorbereitung auf eine neue Saison. Bernhard Lang ist nämlich der Mann, der nicht nur die Löwenprofis beim Autogrammkarten-Shooting gut aussehen lässt, sondern auch die Bilder der Models für den offiziellen Fanshop-Katalog macht. In dieser Folge erzählt er, wie er zu der Fotografie kam, wie die Ausbildung zum Fotografen aussieht, welche Berühmtheiten er schon alles vor der Kamera hatte und wie es damals zu einem Playboy-Shooting gekommen ist.
