New Aerial Views Project: Solar Power Plants in the US

Sustainable Energy Systems - Solar power plants in the US. Renewable energy generation through solar power.
Heliostat mirrors focus sunlight on receivers located on centralized solar power towers. The receivers generate steam to drive specially adapted steam turbines.
Visually interesting to me is the relationship between the technical designs of the power plants and the surrounding desert landscape - which sometimes reminded me on scenes on alien planets out of science fiction movies.
Renewable and sustainable energy production is a step forward to prevent global warming and climate change.

New Aerial Views project "Mojave Desert"

The Mojave Desert is the driest desert in North America. It is in the southwestern United States, primarily within southeastern California and southern Nevada. The central part of the desert is sparsely populated, while its peripheries support large communities.
